This is the story of Kamal Singh & Prem Kuwar, both seven years old. Through nine days of wedding rituals, alternating between the roles of being a child and that of being thrust upon adulthood, little did they know, that at the end of it, their fate would be sealed....forever.

I spent a month around them—with and without a camera—to gain the trust of this closed community in Madhya Pradesh, and photograph this rather disturbing reality.
